I started my artistic career in the 1970s as an abstract painter, creating large-scale color fields. In the last 15 years I’ve returned to these roots and created two-dimensional somatic worlds of color, motion, and emotion. My current works include pencil drawings on paper, digitally-enhanced art, and acrylic washes with colored pencil on paper, gold, and palladium leaf.
These works are available as fine art prints, either as giclée on archival paper or as dye sublimation print on aluminum. They can be printed in an array of sizes and may be purchased unframed, framed in a commercial frame, or framed in a custom frame designed and built by me. Sublimation prints do not need a frame and are ready to hang. Please see my Purchase Inquiries page for more information.
When you start working, everybody is in your studio. The past, your friends, enemies, the art world, and above all, your own ideas– all are there. But as you continue painting, they start leaving, one by one, and you are left completely alone. Then, if you’re lucky, even you leave.
